Terms of Use
Spearfishing Copilot · Last updated 19 August 2026
Read this first. Spearfishing Copilot estimates conditions from weather and marine forecasts. A favourable score means the forecast looks good — not that the sea is safe. Forecasts are wrong sometimes, local conditions vary within a few hundred metres, and currents, boat traffic and your own state are things the app cannot see. Always assess the water yourself before entering it, dive within your training, and never dive alone.
1. The agreement
By using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. What the app does
It aggregates marine and weather forecast data, bathymetry and your own dive history into a dive score, a suggested time window and an expected visibility range for spots near you. The score is computed deterministically from forecast inputs. Where the app explains a score in words, the explanation describes the computed result; it never invents one.
3. No safety guarantee
The app is an information tool, not a safety device and not a substitute for training, judgement or local knowledge. We make no warranty that conditions will match a forecast. To the fullest extent permitted by law we accept no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from decisions taken with the app’s output. Spearfishing carries risk, including drowning and shallow-water blackout, that no forecast can remove.
4. Your responsibilities
- Follow the fishing, diving and marine-protected-area rules that apply where you dive. Legality is yours to check; the app does not track local regulation.
- Respect size limits, seasons and protected species.
- Do not use the app to locate or exploit protected or restricted sites.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself.
5. Your content
Spots, dive logs, notes and photos you create remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store them and show them back to you and, for a spot you deliberately make public, to show that spot to other users. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or publish it under your name without your action.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, access another user’s data, or upload unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability
The app is provided as-is. Forecast providers, map tiles and our own service can be unavailable. The app is built to keep working offline from data already on your device, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account from Profile → Delete account, which erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate access for a breach of these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use after an update means acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
